Background: Every year, Renovate America throws a holiday party that is — what’s that phrase? — one for the books. Since the team is known to spare no expense on the party itself, the invitations and signage had to reflect a sense of equal parts excitement and extravagance.

Challenge: The party’s theme was new that year — presenting an opportunity to step away from more traditional corporate branding and do something creative. I was given full creative liberty to take it wherever I wanted to go (and, I did.)

Solution: Offsetting our brands naturally bright colors, I chose a limited color palette of black and gold with celebratory typographic treatment and graphical elements. This worked well for both the invite (to hint at what the evening would feel like) and the signage the actual event (which blended in seamlessly with the party’s metallic & red decor.)
