Challenge: As the sole in-house designer for 3+ years at Hilton, my main challenge was that I was usually working from scratch. That provided a lot of opportunity for exploration, but not a lot of guardrails.
Solution: In all of my work with them, I honed my ability to gather information from stakeholders, develop and present concepts, manage approvals and revisions, and oversee the production of print pieces. As a freelancer and Art Director, these earlier efforts became invaluable skills as I became a more seasoned designer.
